The privileged location of the Sierra Nevada offers much more than one would expect of any other ski resorts. With 92 Km of slopes, more than 320 days of sunshine every year and 430 snow cannons, the resort is practically guaranteed to provide both snow and sunshine, even when there is not much snow about.

 

The resort provides skiers, non-skiers and families with a wide range of services, such as the 'El Mirlo Blanco' recreation area with activities such as ice skating, mini-slalom on ski-bikes or ski-chairs, Russian sledges or archery. There are also childcare services on the resort or on the slopes (Dreamland with ski classes for kids). The Sierra Nevada is also well known for its great atmosphere: thanks to the proximity of the resort to the slopes, you can stop for a pause when skiing and enjoy some great Tapas, while the evening brings some of the best 'après ski' in the whole of Europe. The resort is also an ideal base for discovering Granada, one of the most historical cities in Europe, or the surrounding area: La Alpujarra, the cave houses in Guadix.... If you like sport, the Sierra Nevada High Performance Sports Centre offers a great range of facilities for almost every type of sport, also enjoyed by renowned athletes and elite sport stars. Only 40 km away there are also the new 18-hole golf courses at Las Gabias and Santa Clara. And there's also something you won't find in any other ski resort on earth: the chance to ski in the morning and sunbathe on the beach or swim in the sea on the magnificent beaches of the Costa Tropical, only 90 Km away.
